Gardeners, here are details for this Saturday's workday. I need you there to help, even if you haven't been out lately.

Marc,

Here are the details for OLLU Volunteers that will join you this fall.

· OLLU students have signed-up to volunteer with 8 community garden groups during the fall 2010 semester.

· Garden coordinators and members are expected to join the students on the specified date.

· Please be prepared with enough tasks, tools and materials to keep the students busy during their 3 hours shift.

· Plan to share information about your neighborhood and teach some gardening techniques so that the students have an enriched experience.

Please expect these volunteers on your designated Saturday from 9am – 12pm.

· We have asked the students to stick with their scheduled dates. They have the garden coordinator’s phone number if any issues should arise.

· We have told the students to wear close-toed shoes at all times. If they do not wear appropriate shoes, you have the right to send them home.

· We told the students that you would supply water as a minimum. You may supply other basic refreshments at your discretion.

We are looking forward to providing this opportunity. Community gardening is a great way for students to engage the local community.
