Hello, Everyone….
Our mah jongg community has many venues for play and all of them are enjoyable. We all can play “regular” drop-in Mah Jongg in several places, as well as play with our personal “groups”. Asian Mah Jongg and Marvelous Mah Jongg also are being played now. Siamese style has allowed twosomes to enjoy the game. Thanks to the son of one of our local players, Online Individual Mah Jongg can be enjoyed free of charge at www.myjongg.net . There are other online sites to which a player must subscribe and pay the annual fee. Wheeeee, so much Mah Jongg, so little time.
Personally, I am having great fun with Siamese mah jongg, where only two people play, each with two racks. However, I recently became aware of “FOUR-handed Siamese mah jongg, where four people play with two sets of tiles, each person playing two racks. I am anxious to try that out if three more brave players will join in.
Anyone and everyone is welcome to play--any takers? It plays exactly the same as “regular” mah jongg—nothing new to learn--you just play two hands at the same time. (All Siamese has to be played with two or four at a table—not three.)
Let me know if you’d like to play a “trial game” just to see what it’s like, and we’ll set something up. We can play at my house if you can overlook the ongoing moving mess, carpentry dust, and the cat population—if that’s too objectionable, we’ll find some other place that’s more suitable.
Hoping to hear back soon!
Smiles,
Pamela

Thanks, Victoria….I’ll holler when it comes together….first, let me know “basically” any days/times when you CANNOT play, and what are the “best” times for you?

Thanks, Rose…
And for everyone’s information, Wednesday and Thursday seem to be pretty popular so far….of course, Wonderful Wednesday is played the first and third Wednesday of each month, and the senior citizen group plays each Thursday afternoon, so it might be a bit trick maneuvering around the regular play that is already on the calendar.
I am wondering how many would be interested in a Sunday afternoon game—maybe around 2-5?
I’m getting excited, and anxious to get started! However, I have to have everything moved from the ranch by June 30, so that’s going to slow me down right at first.
Still, I’m wondering about maybe Sunday, May 22 (2-5 p.m.) or Thursday, May 25 (morning or afternoon)….or both days if that would help everyone who wants to come.
All suggestions are welcome.
