RIP Sherron

[Betty]

Sherron McCarley Cloud passed away after bravely fighting some severe health problems this past month.  She was tough and had gone through many other illnesses with success but this one was too much.  I know she loved San Angelo, the Civic Theatre and our Mah Jongg groups very much; she hated to leave us but aren’t we happy that she was able to be nearer her daughters and sister in a beautiful retirement home that they decorated for her?  Sherron was able to see Glenda Clingman now and then for some She Shed knitting sessions; Candis Hicks went to visit and so did Lola Newman I think; perhaps there were others too.  We talked on the phone now and then; she was really happy in her retirement area but missed the camaraderie of San Angelo Mah Jongg groups very much as well as all the others in our town that she knew either from work at Madye’s or ACT or other places.  RIP dear Sherron.  I’m enclosing addresses that Lola wanted to be sent out in case you want to send a card.  If this is a repeat, please excuse me.  Feel free to share with others who knew Sherron.

Oh yes, I taught Beth to play over at Los Panchitos and then she would come for Mardi Gras and help out;  she loved the game and loved us too.  I wasn’t around Sherron as much but then for a couple of years there I wasn’t able to be around so that made a difference.  She called me several times; guess she was lonesome at times for some MJ conversation.

 

Please don’t plan on leaving me anytime in the next few years.    According to this I plan to be here until I’m 88 or possibly 92.  Goodness, another one I did only gave me 3 to 5 years.  Aghhh.  I like the WSJ prediction much better.  Be sure and scroll all the way down; sorry we cannot play tennis like Annette Anderson but we can philosophize with style.  LOL   Take care,  BettySue
