Justice in San Mateo

While Quakers do not espouse any particular political party or viewpoint, justice is part of our testimonies. Did you know that the only oversight of the San Mateo County Sheriff's office is voting for Sheriff? Otherwise, the office is not accountable to any other governmental body or agency. There are some people who are advocating the establishment of an independent board to oversee the activities of the Sheriff. There is an excellent opportunity to learn more about this on March 26 from 1-2:30 at the Redwood City Hall of Justice, 400 County Center. See
