Friends

We greet you from foggy CSU Monterey Bay where we are attending the
Pacific Yearly Meeting of Friends. Some are here only via Zoom. We are
enjoying the in person meal-time and walk-time conversations with
Friends from many places.

At breakfast we chatted with the publisher of Friends Journal who is
traveling to visit many Quaker gatherings this summer. We're meeting new
people and connecting with old friends/Friends.

Today in the afternoon we will hold a meeting for memorials for Friends
who have died since our last yearly meeting. It will be full of
testimony to faithful lives of love and service. There will be few dry
eyes. Somehow this is invigorating and encouraging to recommit ourselves
to keep sharing our dedication to peace and to the planet.
