Death penalty issue

Dear Friends,

I have long been concerned about the use of the death penalty in California and the United States. There are many reasons why I think the death penalty should be abolished. However, mainly, I find it immoral to take another person's life, regardless of what they may have done. There are other ways people can be held accountable. If you are similarly led, please consider sending a message to the governor to commute the sentences of all people on death row before he leaves office. FCLCA has provided a sample message that you can modify with your own convictions and send. See the link below.

FCLCA is part of the California Anti-Death Penalty Coalition -- we are calling on Governor Gavin Newsom to enact universal clemency and commute every death row sentence in California. Instead of handling cases one by one, universal clemency utilizes the governor's executive authority to correct the injustice of the death penalty across the board.
