As you all are aware, Navratri is right round the corner and a lot of tickets are being booked in a mad frenzy to Bangalore, to spend this special time with Guruji, H H Sri Sri Ravishankar.
Navratri is significant of the transformation of negativity (Tamas+ Rajas) into Sattva and beyond... It is a very very celebrative and at the same time, a very meditative and memorable time; and to be in the ashram during this time is an honour and privilege, accorded to only a lucky few.
The Homas start on Saturday, 20th with the Ganesha Homa, upto 24th being Dashami. These homas are an experience in delving deep into the self and exploring the effect of ancient scientific rituals and the mesmerizing effect of the sanskrit chants that make us transcend the 5 senses and give us a deep vision into our inner self... A lot of cleansing and energizing happens in these homas, and one leaves the yagyashala, a better, happier and uplifted person. It is a great opportunity to energize yourself for the year ahead.
