I own a profitable software company, and through that, I've gotten some
opportunities to build a number of technology projects unrelated to the
core business.
None of them are currently things that I can undertake directly, for
various reasons, but I have them envisioned, funded, and designed. What I'd like to do is to hire someone to execute these and projects like these over the next year or so, possibly longer. Two of the projects are for nascent start-ups that could be pretty interesting.
It is a good opportunity for someone who is eager to learn new technologies, since there are many different technologies involved. Familiarity with the tech in question is helpful, but absolutely not required. Proximity to San Diego is also a plus, but also optional.
I can't talk about the specifics openly, but here's a list of some of the languages, systems, and platforms that we'll be working in:
• Linux
• Perl
• AngularJS
• ElasticSearch
• Python
• Excel - VBA (don't snicker)
• BeagleBone
• Eagle Schematic Capture (for hardware)
• Agile Project Management
• Unity (C#)
• .Net
If you or someone you know might be intrigued by an opportunity like this, please reach out to me at my personal email address at
scda...@gmail.com. If we can find the right fit, we can create quite a bit of value.
Best regards,
Shaun Dawson
