Hey y'all!

Sorry to get these questions out so late; I had a crazy week (cousin's wedding and looking for a roomie) so here you go (some of these were inspired by the questions at the back of the book):

1) How do you define virginity? Did your definition change after reading this book?

2) How have you been affected by the "purity myth" or how has someone you know been affected by this standard of virginity? How do you think your experiences with the purity myth were influenced by your racial/ethnic group, gender, and/or sexual orientation?

3) Do you see improvement or regression in our society as far as defining women by their sexuality?

4) One of the book's main points was getting away from the Madonna/Whore dichotomy and not defining women by their sexual activity (or lack thereof). How are some different ways we can work toward dissolving this dichotomy?

5) Is there a connection between morality and sexuality? Should there (not) be and why?

6) Where should we draw the line between "healthy" female sexual expression and sexualization/objectification?

follow up to question 6, taken from the book: how can we create a more positive vision of women's sexuality in order to take away the shame and stigma from it?

We can also use some more of the questions provided in the back of the book if time allows.

See you all tomorrow (Monday)!

Maggi
