Friends,

Biking in the City of SD is getting better ... but could be way better still, amirite?  Let the City (and other regional agencies therein) know where, why, and how!

3 surveys are open until Monday September 30th (if pressed for time, just do #1):

1) Interactive Feedback Map: Use the map's markers to add comments where you think the current bicycle system works, has barriers, or needs improvement.

It's very likely there's already a "barrier" or "opportunity" marker and comment at the areas you either hate riding or want to ride - so upvote them!

You can do this on a phone ... but it's a frustrating experience IMO so I strongly encourage you to do it on desktop.

2) Interactive Trip Map: You can also show them where you typically begin and end your bike rides, so they get a sense of the journeys you're making.

3) Quick Online Survey: Respond to these quick surveys so that they can learn more about you, your bicycle use, and your perspective about the City’s bicycle infrastructure.

Please forward this along to any colleagues, friends, and family!

Done. I made my pitch for facilities that facilitate vehicular cycling, and against right hook and left cross setups from "protected" facilities. I urged them to rip out the bollards that line the (20mph) streets inside UC San Diego. I told them northbound Torrey Pines Rd. used to work great at the Genesee T-intersection, with two left turn lanes, a left turn bike lane, and two right turn lanes. Now they force cyclists into the depth of right-hookdom (right-hookdumb?).
