A Teacher Professional Development Experience like No Other!

An externship is an immersive experience and partnership with the local military & industry to support teachers' understanding & practice of engaging students in future workforce skills and increase career-connected learning experiences for students of all ages. Teachers will learn more about local and Department of Defense (DoD) careers in STEM as they earn a $1,200 stipend and 30 CPE hours!

The exact dates depend upon your placement, but all externship experiences will take place sometime in June - July 2025.

Only 10 spots are open, so complete this interest form today! This summer we are accepting elementary, middle and high school teachers!

Application Process & Deadline

The last day to complete this open interest form is April 18th. Then we will review applicants and find the strongest match with our 10 industry placements. You may be invited to meet with externship supervisors as they decide on their final candidate(s). We hope to have decisions made by May 9th and candidates will be notified by email.
