On 29th October 2011, GDIZ will be celebrating the Indian Festival of
Lights Diwali for the third time in Munich. Diwali 2011 will be
celebrated under the official patronage of the Lord Mayor of Munich,
Mr. Christian Ude and with support from the Government of Munich,
District Council 11 Milbertshofen/Am Hart.
We invite you and your families to celebrate Diwali with us. It will
be a fun-filled event with:
- Inaugration of Diwali Festival by Consul General Vikram Misri and
Secretary of State Katja Hessel, Member of the Bavarian Parliament
- Live Ghazal & Sufi Songs (Sudokshina Vocals & Harmonium, Subrata on Tabla)
- Live Bollywood Songs (Nishad, Youth Choir St. Georg Milbertshofen)
- Semi-Classical Kathak on Bollywood Numbers (Sohini)
- Classical & Contemporary Dance (Carolyn Dassel and group)
- Firework
- Tasty Indian Food-Court
- Henna
- Interesting Stuff for Kids
