1 – Samvera Virtual Connect Recordings and slides now available
Thank you to everyone who presented and attended Samvera Virtual Connect 2026! We had an excellent program from colleagues across Samvera Community technologies and institutions.
Videos are now available on the Samvera Community YouTube channel: Virtual Connect 2026 Playlist
Presenters have also added slides to the program page in the Samvera Community wiki.
2 – Join the Next Community Development Sprint, June 22 - 26th
Sign up to join us for the next Community Development Sprint June 22-26th.
A Community Development Sprint is a week-long event in which developers and other technologists come together, in person or virtually, to work on Community code and documentation projects. Developers at all levels are welcome to participate, as are those interested in documentation revision and QA testing. A Community Sprint is a great way to learn from experienced Samverans.
This sprint will have a sprint board with priority issues selected by the Samvera Technical Coordinator and the Hyku and Hyrax Product Owners. Participants can also use this time to work on any other community code they are interested in, with daily check-ins for questions.
3 – Hyrax Interest Group June call cancelled due to conflict with Open Repositories 2026
The Hyrax Interest Group scheduled June meeting conflicts with the Open Repositories 2026 conference. There will be an asynchronous check-in in the #hyrax channel in Samvera Slack.
The next meeting is Wednesday, July 8th at 11:30AM ET/8:30AM PT – Add the Hyrax Interest Group meetings to your calendar
4 – Reminder: Submit a treasure in your collections to feature in the Samvera Community Repository Tour
The Outreach and Engagement Working Group is revamping our Samvera Community Repository tour on the samvera.org website, and we need your contributions! The tour offers an easy and fun way to see the diversity of collections and institutions who use Samvera technologies to power their repositories.
Please complete this brief form to share one particularly fun/interesting/notable holding in your repository so we can feature it on the tour.
