Many in the community have heard the news that as of December, Notch8 is part of the Scientist.com family! Rob Kaufman announced this in the December Partners call, and we are now excited to make a larger announcement and share our new name: Software Services by Scientist.com.
The Notch8 story started 14 years ago, with Rob as a one-person show working with Notch8’s first client, Scientist.com. Now we’re a team of 16 and have had dozens of clients, yet we’ve worked with Scientist.com consistently for the duration, helping to build their product and their mobile app alongside their own team of developers. Our partnership has been so durable and so successful that it made sense when Scientist.com approached Notch8 about acquiring us and bringing us into the Scientist.com family.
What does this mean to our client base and our involvement in the Samvera Community? It means that we’ll have the support of another solid company behind us, enabling us to serve our clients with even more confidence and allowing us to focus on what we’re great at. Software Services by Scientist.com is still the same Notch8 team, operating under the leadership of Rob Kaufman as VP of Development. Our mission remains the same: to continue to serve long-term clients and acquire new projects that are compatible with our expertise, both in and out of the Samvera Community.
