Colleagues,

The MIRL (Medical Institutional Repositories in Libraries) symposium planning committee is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the inaugural free virtual event, scheduled to take place on Zoom on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 from 12 pm – 5:15 pm (EST).

Join us to hear keynote speaker Kathryn Funk (Program Manager, PubMed Central), who will provide a foundation for the symposium with her presentation, entitled “A CAPTivating Future for Repositories: The vital need for curation, access, preservation, and transparency in scientific communications.” The program will continue with presentations by our colleagues, and time will be left for questions for the speakers.

MIRL is a platform-neutral symposium with a goal of convening institutional repository (IR) practitioners and those with an interest in IRs at hospitals, academic medical centers, and other health settings for spotlights on use cases, analysis, and best practices for digital archiving of institutional content.
