Hello Samverans,

As discussed in Partner meetings over the past year, Samvera is planning to offer a Julie Allinson Award beginning in 2022 and we are now taking donations to fund the award. This award honors the late Julie Allinson, a beloved Samvera Community member who was an incredible mentor, teacher, and friend.

Beginning in 2022, the Samvera Community will present an award in Julie’s name to a Community member who exemplifies her collaborative spirit. You can learn more about the award here.

Donations will provide funding to reward future awardees with a plaque and US $200.

Please note that donations to this award fund are not tax deductible, as the Samvera Foundation is a 501(c)6 nonprofit organization and as such does not qualify for tax-deductible donations.

There will be a call in late Q1 of 2022 for Award Committee members and Award nominations.

Best,

Heather
