Namaste everyone,
Hope you are enjoying this great weather.
I am sending you an audio link for Rama Sabdah - basically a Vibhakti Table  containing the various forms of the word, Rama, in  singular, dual and plural forms.
So, when I say,
रामः  रामौ  रामाः  - one Rama, two Ramas and many Ramas respectively in the subject form.
रामं   रामौ रामान्  - dviteeyA vibhakti to indicate the object form of one Rama, two Ramas and many Ramas respectively.
रामेण रामाभ्यां रामैः - triteeyA vibhakti to indicate 'by' or 'with' one Rama, two Ramas and many Ramas respectively.
रामाय रामाभ्यां रामेभ्यः - chaturdhee vibhakti form to indicate 'for' Rama, two Ramas and many Ramas respectively.
The Sabda continues with the rest of the Vibhaktis --- you get idea.
We used the Panchamee, ShashThee, and Saptamee vibhaktis in the class several times, so, I took the liberty of recording the entire Vibhakti Table for the word, 'Rama'.

We will be sending you the Rama Sabdah shortly, but, listening to the audio frequently makes the learning less intimidating, I think. Make this Rama Sabdah your friend - it is good both for a good foundation in Sanskrit and spiritually too
You can make similar tables for the words, कृष्ण, गोविन्द, मुकुन्द, माधव, दामोदर,गोपाल   - basically masculine words ending with the vowel sound अ - so this is called an अकारान्त पुंलिङ्ग शब्दः .
It would be awesome if you all can select one of the above words, and create your own Vibhakti table (Sabdah),for the first four Vibhaktis ,  as a fun exercise and share it with the rest of us on Thursday.

Have a great day.
Regards
Annapurna

Great Idea Bhagini, Thank you.

And to complete the table for the remaining Vibhakti (that we will be learning in the next class.

रामात् रामाभ्यां रामेभ्यः   -  5th - Panchamee Vibhakti (from one Rama, two Ramas, many Ramas)  - example : I received this from Rama

रामस्य   रामयोः  रामाणाम्   -  6th - Shashtee  Vibhakti (Rama's, two Rama's, many Rama's) - Example - Ramayana is Rama's story.                                            (see note below)

रामे  रामयोः  रामेषु   -       7th - Saptami  Vibhakti (in Rama, in two Rama, in many Rama's)   - In Rama, I see divinity.

note : Please remember the rule about using ण vs.  न for the 6th Vibhakti Bahuvachana as you try to do for other words. Though there is a more complicated rule, a simple thing that you can remember for now is if there is a र or ष in the word then for the first occurence you should most likely use ण instead of  न  . For example, it is रामाणाम्,  but  बालकानाम् .

That is why Rama's story is रामाय but Seetha's story is सीताय. When Sun travels north it is  उत्तराय  but when he travels south it is दक्षिणान

And our friend Shankar Kumar always tries to make it cleaner and easier to read with his nice formatting work:

1st.. prathama vibhakthi in the subject form.
रामः     one Rama
रामौ     two Ramas
रामाः  -  many Ramas

2nd.. dviteeyA vibhakti to indicate the object form "of"
रामं    one Rama
 रामौ  two Ramas
रामान्  - many Ramas.

3rd..triteeyA vibhakti to indicate 'by' or 'with'
रामेण  -  one Rama,
रामाभ्यां   -  two Ramas .
 रामैः many Ramas

4th..chaturdhee vibhakti form to indicate 'for'
रामाय   one Rama,
रामाभ्यां   two Ramas
रामेभ्यः -  many Ramas .

5th - Panchamee Vibhakti ”from”
रामात्    from one Rama,
रामाभ्यां , two Ramas,
रामेभ्यः    many Ramas
  - example : I received this from Rama

6th - Shashtee  Vibhakti  ”his”
रामस्य  Rama's,
 रामयोः    two Rama's,
रामाणाम्   many Rama's
 - Example - Ramayana is Rama's story.                                            (see note below)

7th - Saptami  Vibhakti “in”
रामे  in Rama,
रामयोः in two Ramas,
रामेषु   in many Rama's
  - In Rama, I see divinity.

note : Please remember the rule about using vs.  for the 6th Vibhakti Bahuvachana as you try to do for other words. Though there is a more complicated rule, a simple thing that you can remember for now is if there is a or in the word then for the first occurrence you should most likely use instead of    . For example, it is रामाणाम्,  but  बालकानाम् .

That is why Rama's story is रामायण  but Seetha's story is सीतायन. When Sun travels north it is  उत्तरायण  but when he travels south it is दक्षिणायन.
