Thanks. I know the declension of this neuter gender word. What I want is what is the dhatu and what is the pratyaya used.

- नम्‌ is the bhaavaarthaka gerund verbal noun forming suffix. 

क्षमाप

समाप

अवाप

आप -- to get, to reach, to be used, to complete 

अवाप - to get , to acquire

समाप - to complete, to end, 

क्षमाप - to reach tolerance ? 

[अभ्यंकरकुलोत्पन्नः श्रीपादः | श्रीपतेः पदयुगं स्मरणीयम् ।]

क्षमा-शब्दः क्षम्+अङ्

तथा

(आपनम्)-शब्दः आप्+ल्युट्

अस्ति श्रीमच्छङ्कराचार्याणां देव्यपराधक्षमापनस्तोत्रम्
