In the Rig Veda khila kAndam a suktam named Pratyangira sUktam occurs.

May be audio available in some sites.

There is Pratyangira sahasranama and others.

Respected Bhat ji!!

They charge something like Rs.21000/- and it is exorbitant too.  Is there any site which offers the same at some nominal cost or free download?

If you are particular about Pratyangira Sukta of Rigveda, I may help. But I could not find it in Rigveda Khila portion by name. If you are sure of it, you can get reference to  the beginning of the Sukta and I can help to find the mantra-s.

If you are not particular of the Vedic Sukta of Pratyangira, and instead if you want Pratyangira Sahasranama or any other Stotra-s of Pratyangira, you can have them online.
The Sahasranama Stotra text is available here for download:

Here is a site with Srividya stotra-s in general:

And Pratyangira-kavaca, Pratyangira-samputIkarana and others are available in audio format online. And if you want some in mp3 format, I may share it privately.

Here is the link for Video and audio of Pratyangira kavaca.

You can get more audio formats if you also make search on Google. for the Stotra-s. I have not heard of Pratyangira Sukta as you have requested.

Pratyangira Mala Mantra:

Pratyangira Kavacam:

Pratyangira Gayatri :

Pratyangira Kavaca Samputikarana:

Pratyangira Sahasranamaavali:

The above are online sources for other stotra-s of Pratyangira.

Just search in Youtube brought the above result. But no Pratyangira Sukta so far recited by any.  Mr. Sundara has given the Khila audio details. You may search there if you know the particular Sukta.

You can ask the owner of the scribd for allowing you to download it. But unfortunately I too saw that site, but no way of approaching him. But no details of the Sookta is found anywhere on the web. So I thought the result page might have been produced by robo-s during the search. Many such results we can find on Google Search.

If you really want protection you can recite Pratyangira Kavaca which is specially meant for protection. That is why I posted the video links.

Anyhow God bless you and protect you.

She had already specified in her Subject Line of her first message itself what she wants and again what she could not find in scribd already:

I thought when you replied with attachments, the Prathyangira Suktham was posted among your attachments as the owner of the scribd had set the document as private and hence she could not get it. Please try yourself to get the doc specifically Pratyangira Suktha.

That mean it was not there, but only because of combination of pdf, and pratyangira, the google search combined the search contents with the site.

There is one bagala Suktham in the attachments of Phanikumarji which itself is from Atharvaveda, 5th Kanda, 6th Anuvaka, Sukta 31 and 12th Prapathaka: which may be the one you are looking for as Pratyangira Suktha: as Bagala Pratyangira are commonly associated togather:

One can simply extract it from the corresponding vedic text Now if one has not compiled, probably one needs to compile it. Which veda and which sukta Pratyangira Suktha exists is known.

Namaste,

There is nothing like pratyangira suktam.  Infact, it is the "bhadrakali sukta" from Atharva Veda which is commonly known as pratyangira sukta.  For that, take the help of vedic scholar who is well-versed in Atharva Veda.

BTW, i see that there is a craze among people for this typical deity called "pratyangira" which is not advisable for upAsana.  These so-called pratyangira upasana is a big madness.  For these sort of tantrika prayogas, one should need guidance of good guru.

Start the pArAyaNa of sundarakANDa and invoke the blessings of shri hanumanji.  Everything would be OK.

sriram

Namaste,
I am planning to create course material for kids of the new millenium by in corporating conversational sentences that make use of common cartoons/ anime characters ,references to sports icons, major league games etc.
In my opinion this should reduce the resistance / inhibitions that that kids have towards learning samskrit and also remove the label of being a language only for religious books.
Towards this , I am also in the process of creating a software that can run from any mobile device and allow the learner to listen to the text being presented.
The software can read ANY text presented in devanagari unicode format.

I look forward to suggestions and criticism of this approach.

Hi

Please do not worry about the protected document on Scribd, It is a 4 page document and I have attached the same. This is not what we are looking for.
