Nothing excellent about this. It's just an expanded version of what it was in 2000. Same failed grammar approach with a little disguise by trivial examples around the tables.

I too think that grammar approach to a language fails to make you learn it, especially for a language like Sanskrt that has an ocean of grammar.

As of now, the following books are available in the RSS Diksha series:
Level 1

Levels 3, 4, and 5.

Level 2 is out of print.

I have no idea when Level 2 will be back in print.

While I am no expert in Sanskrit and only a beginner, I can state with confidence that the RSS Diksha Teach Yourself Sanskrit books are by far the most popular Sanskrit learning books in the world. Lakhs of students have learned Sanskrit using these books.
