In a video some months back, नित्यानन्द-मिश्र said विहान and अयान are not names despite being sanskrit words.

Now with respect to विहान, we have names like अरुणोदय and सन्ध्या which refer to dawn and dusk respectively. so why not विहान it is पुंलिङ्ग?

Can anybody throw some light on this?

Also regarding अयान,  it is neuter meaning unmovable. I understand the apprehension of such a name but this too can be used as a name right? I mean the killer of कृष्ण was जरा, which is a feminine name referring to a masculine person.
