तस्याः सन्देशः -

Hope you are doing well.

We are here to share an update with you. We are so excited to bring back One Day, One Story – Pratham Books’ annual storytelling campaign celebrating International Literacy Day on September 8th.

Although we have seen amazing response in the two years that we have conducted One Day, One Story virtually because of the Covid-19 pandemic, we are now absolutely thrilled to go back to the original format – in-person, on-ground storytelling sessions conducted by Reading Champions for children!

This year, we have two Pratham Books titles to choose from - Croak written by Kavitha Punniyamurthi and illustrated by Ekta Bharti, for younger children (3-8 years), and Beauty is Missing by Priya Kuriyan, for older children (8-12 years). While these popular books are already available in multiple versions, they are missing Sanskrit translation. It would be amazing if you could translate these before the event.

One Day, One Story offers a unique, fun and simple way for anyone, anywhere to share the joy of reading with children through the magic of storybooks. It is an opportunity to give back, by bringing a smile to the faces of children. And it's one step further in the journey to Building a Reading India - one where no child is left behind. Your contribution will go a long way in multiplying the number of Pratham Books Champions' reading sessions and in turn, will help engage with more and more young readers.

You can read more about the event hereAnd, you can sign up as a reading champion partner here too.

The deadline for translations is 20th Aug 2022.
