Very Rare Surya Panchakam from Bhavishya Puranam

Dear All,

Greetings and Namaste. As Bhanu Saptami (seventh tithi of waxin moon fortnight falling on a Sunday - Shukla Paksha Saptami happening on a Sunday) happens very few times in a year, it is a great occasion to worship Lord Surya as prescribed by our Purans.

In this connection, I am delighted to share a short and beautiful 5-stanza prayer (Panchakam) on Lord Surya by Lord Brahma taken from Bhavishya Puranam, Brahma Parvam, Saptami Kalpam and Chapter 174. In the brief Phalashruti, Lord Brahma declares that one who listens to this hymn will attain all fame and reach the abode of Lord Surya in the end.

May We Pray to Lord Surya on Bhanu Saptami with this beautiful hymn!
