Dear all,
I am having a question that in Ancient India,Ancient account recording have been done.I have searched in internet about it.I know that in artha śāstra,some of the records are available.
Is there is any sources about this,(any sources,references, bibliographies,notes are welcome)are there?If there means,please let me know.

P.S:PDF is not required (if it's given also,no problem)

"The wonder that was India" by A L Basham, though written many years ago, is still relevant reference book on ancient India.

Recording commercial transactions originated with the trading of sheep and goats and other goods.
Made by pressing seals and scratching onto clay tokens. Long before written contracts.
Both parties would keep a set.

'Book keeping with books learned from manuals (śāstra) would have come about much later that head counting and more scratchings...

I would caution against Basham, not only is it dated it is treats India as the exotic 'other'.
The Arthashastra has a separate section on accounts. You can access different English translations by searching the internet. R P Kangle or L N Rangarajan would be best
