समस्यापूर्ति - “हा धिक् प्रियस्याननम्”

Completing the verse: “Alas, I absolutely hate the face of my beloved!”

 

किञ्चित् तत् पलितं शिरो वलिभिराक्रान्तं तदीयं वपु:

हस्ते वेपथुरस्ति कम्पनमपि व्यालोकि तत्पादयो: ।

सर्वं दैववशादिदं समभवत् सर्वं सहे तन्मुदा

किन्त्वस्य प्रतिवेशिनीं प्रति वृतं हा धिक् प्रियस्याननम् ।।

 

That head is slightly gray

The body has crinkles

The hand trembles

And the legs shake a little

All this happened due to fate

I can live with all of this

But when he looks at the neighbor

Alas, I absolutely hate the face of my beloved!
