A note on searching for Sanskrit text on the Web:
I've had better luck finding them by inputting in Devnagri characters. For Windows users, using normal (latin character) key boards, Google IME is very helpful:

Yesterday was Guru Purnima, and I came across a shloka describing vyasa.
It began with "achaturvadano Bramhaa" (even though he does not have 4 faces, he is brahma),
and ended with bhagavaan baadaraayaNa. However I could not jot it down.

I tried to do a google, but did not find the shloka
Can someone please send me the text of the complete shloka?

I googled, and I got the complete text:

अचतुर्वदनो ब्रह्मा द्विबाहुरपरो हरिः | अफाल(भाल)-लोचनः शंभुर्भगवान् बादरायणः || ३ ||

Ok?

You can also check it:

For those interested:
In अप्पय्य-दीक्षित's कुवलयानन्दः this is an example quoted for न्यूनताद्रूप्य-रूपकालङ्कारः |

The two objects are represented as (almost) identical, one slightly short of all characteristics of the other.

vyAsa is brahma, except he is not 4-headed.
vyAsa is hari, but he only has 2 hands.
vyAsa is shambhu, without the forehead-eye.
