Namaste,

I have developed an Android App for Sanskrit Vibhakti Pratyayas. The app is named ViPra. ViPra is a reference guide to Vibhati-Pratyayas.
This app uses Devanagari script to render fonts.

I hope you will like it.

Regards,
Kaushik

If we keep the phone or tablet's font size as 36, it looks bigger.. fantastic job kaushik

Hi Vishwanathan,

Thank you! Yes as you figured out user has to manually set font size as per his display size and resolution.
This can't be done automatically as Android devices come in so many combinations of screen sizes and resolutions.

Kaushik

Dear All,
Can I use this app on my laptop (using Windows) or on my BlackBerry phone? If so, please advise how as I am unable (with my limited computer knowledge) to get either one going?

Namaste,
There is a need to have Mac OS systems to develop ios Apps(although there are some cross-development kits, but they are fuzzy). I dont have a Mac. I will try to loan one some time later and see how easy is it to develop in ios. I have to learn that and may take some time.

Namaste Sanju Mahodaya,

Thank you for the support.
I live near LA. Major hurdle actually is not infrastructure, but time. Unfortunately, I may not be able to work on it till mid next year due to hectic work pressure :-)

Kaushik

नमस्करोमि कौशिक।

1. This mailing list may interest you: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/sanskrit-programmers - especially if you like open source and fun collaboration.

2. There is a simple way to bring the benefits of your idea to fruition across platforms - just create and publish a stardict compatible dictionary. Users with Windows / MAC/ blackberry phones can simply use their favorite stardict compatible app with your dictionary and see vibhakti-pratyaya-s.

2.1 In fact, if you send me the data, I will be happy to create and publish such a dictionary pretty quickly.
