Please post here.

Download siddhanta font or its vedic variations.
Go to character map and see for yourself.
Whole range would be available.
Choose what you need.

 Ken,

Have you come across this web site that provides the Chandas font?

There, you will also find a clickable keyboard layout (IME) that you can download.

Then it's fingers and mousing, I don't think it enables drag 'n' drop etc.

But make sure that anyone reading your work, has the font, It is not native to the O/S's.

Cheers,

Based on this link modern Devanagari script has twelve modified characters while modern Gujanagari script is without lines above letters with few modifications.

Ken,

There seems to be a problem with languages and terminology.

Which link?    “Based on this link...”
What does Argentina (or Moscow conferences, for that matter)  got to do with ancient sanscrit?

As to ‘modern,  are you trying to compare classical Sanscrit  with Gujanagari. They are different scripts.

By ‘lines’ do you mean strokes.  Lines, as in your ‘lines above’, are generally understood to be the macron diacritic, used in connection with the Romanised Latin  transliterations.

   Regards.

One may see the difference between Devanagari and Gujanagari and compare with classical Sanskrit script. The lines above Devanagari letters are called shirorekha/shɪːroʊrɛkhɑ(horizontal lines horizontal line that runs along the top of full letters. )

Sir;

Thank you most kindly.   This post of yours is of great use to me.  I am inivolved in a project which involves Mudras and Aksharaabhyaasa.  The project is an attempt to create, recreate, and /or adapt the existing mudras (hand gestures using fingers, palms and the back of the hands; and facial gestures) to be used for dual (hopefully later on for multiple) purposes of therapy (physical, mental, spiritual) and learning of Indian alphabets in such a way that any and all languages can use this mudras-alphabetical-system.
This system of hasta-kala-mudraaksharaas for alphabets (in mudraas) is also accompanied by a system of written sysmbols using only three geometrical shapes (circles, triangles, squares-- full or partial shapes, and combinations) designated as  roopa-kala-rekhaaksharaas for alphabets in written form or"lipi" or script.
Since fingers and straight and curved lines are ubiquitous and universally availabe and accessible, we hope both the Mudraaksharaas and Rekahaaksharaas could be "universally"  useful and will be utilized as device for unifying scrpit for Indian laguages.
Fortunately most recently, Samskrit Bharathi and some temples have shown some interest in this development.
I hope and pray that this google-group of formidable and generous people will help.

Thank you again,

Iyengar

P.S.  I will post first instalment as soon as I get some technical help in scanning graphics and large files.
