Dear Respected learned members,

Pranams

I believe Sanskrit is a language which is to be worshipped and
patronage continued with. I feel good being part of this group. There
are a number of topics being discussed and expert opinion sort.

can some one throw meaning of this Pravaram " Hope I got it right - "
Chatur saagara paryantham, go brahmanebhyam subham bhavatu kasyapa
aavatsara, nitruvedhi triya rishaya kasyapa sagothrasya katyanai
sutra, sri shukla yajur vedantagate kanva sakhadhyaye kuppuswamy
sharma aham bo abivadhaye".

My another doubt is in the above context, which school should i follow
for Amavasya Tarpanam " Bodhayana or Apasthamba Sootram"

Kindly throw light on this. Would be grateful.

Pranams

Pravra is a Sanskrit Introduction which will inform the listner which Gotra, veda and what sutra one belongs and follows. Which school of sutra you need to follow is already known in your family. So whatever sutra your father follows is the one you need to follow.

A householder belonging to Shukla Yajur Veda is expected to follow Paraskara or Baijavapa Grihya Sutra and their Parishisthas or Prayoga books for Grihya Samskaras. Unfortunately, Baijavapa Grihya Sutra is lost and does not seem to be extant.

त्र्यार्षेय-काश्यप-सगोत्रस्य कात्यायन-सूत्र-
शुक्लयजुर्वेदान्तर्गत-काण्व शाखाध्यायी

If your getting above specification is correct,  you have to follow your कात्यायन-सूत्र and why to deviate from it to बोधायन or आपस्तम्ब? Anyhow I can't say for anything as I am also not a preiest like Ajit.

Please type in Devanagari Unicode fonts to avoid confusion to the readers in knowing the correct words you want to say in Sanskrit.

bhaT sir, the word in roman is  naidhruva (नैध्रुव) the gotra is naidhruva kAshyapa. the pravara for this will go as:
अभिवादये काश्यप अवत्सार नैध्रुव त्रयार्षेय प्रवरान्वितः काश्यपगोत्रः (.....) सूत्रः (....) शाखाध्यायि (...) शर्मा अहमस्मि भोः ||

स्वस्ति,
              जय भवानी भारती,
                                          श्रिवत्सः

A small observation.  As given by Kuppuswamy in his अभिवादन he clearly mentions

of which I could not imagine the roman word he has given in between the name of the three
प्रवर-s of his गोत्र and the name of the गोत्र belongs. and it is followed with the the name of the सूत्र he belongs as कात्यायन probably related to  काण्वशाखा of शुक्लयजुर्वेद.

Please throw light on this case, if he has correctly reproduced from his "abhivadana" mantra.

The answer is Paraskara and Katyayana are the same person. The Grihya Sutra is called Paraskara Grihya Sutra and Shrauta Sutra is called Katyayana Shrauta Sutra. Names may have been interchanged by writers. Another example is Hiranyakeshin and Satyashada being names of the same person.
