सुस्वागतम्

नमस्काराः,

Is सुस्वागतम् a correct word? I seem to find it in spokensanskrit.de as well. But does it make sense to have 2 सु before आगतम्? Are there any references where the word सुस्वागतम् is found?

सु in स्वागत is duplicated as a special case for पितृकार्य.

Can you please quote some authority of प्रयोग to which such practice in  the शाखा belongs

I don't think if it can be used in the case of dead manes, why it cannot be used in respect of living human beings around us for welcoming them.

स्वागतम् is also used in respect of veneration of Gods in पूजा-s comprising of of sixteen items offered as one of the items.

The above are the usages in भागवतपुराण of स्वागत only. welcoming expression used in respect of all persons, irrespective of gender, or number.

Is "suswagatam" grammatically correct no matter what the context of its use may be. I think that is the question.

It seems in both cases, it is not used in the sense शोभनं स्वागतम् as it is used today.

In both cases, it is related with the other, as षष्ठी समास, making it suggesting the arrival of Rama, her lover.

which is purely contextual.

In other commentaries also it is explained in the same way and not as two prefixes in the same sense. भूषण of गोविन्दराज -

 सुस्वागतां शोभनबन्ध्वागमनमिति यावत् । "बन्धुस्वस्वजनास्समाः" इत्यमरः । वाचं स्वरमुदीरयानः चोदयतीव रामागमनं कथयतीव । यद्वा पूर्वोक्तराघव एव कर्म । राघवमुपपादयतीवेत्यर्थः । 

which splits सु+स्व+आगमन in बहुव्रीहि;

and concludes with the expression रामायण as उत्तमध्वनिकाव्य.

तिलक by नागोजीभट्ट ---

सुस्वागतां शोभनस्य स्वागतं प्राप्तिर्यस्यां तादृशीं वाचं कथयन्पुनःपुनश्चोदयतीव शोभनप्राप्तिं सूचयतीव । शोभनमागतं प्रत्युद्गच्छेति सीतां पुनः पुनः प्रेरयतीव वा ।। 5.27.46 ।। 

महेश्वरतीर्थ - तत्त्वदीपिका

सुस्वागतां सुष्टु शोभनमागतमित्येवंरूपां वाचमुदीरयानः उच्चरन् पुनः पुनश्चोदयतीव, शोभनमागतं प्रत्युद्गच्छेति सीतां पुनः पुनः प्रेरयतीवेत्यर्थः ।। 5.27.51 ।।

सु + सु + गम्  ???
This  means a double prefix which would be grammatically incorrect.
सुस्वागत can be used as an adjective is used but its usage as verb is not found in Sanskrit. It is sounds more like a Hindi word.
The usage quoted from Ramayana may be considered to be आर्षः प्रयोगः
If a word is used one must able to derive the word from grammatical principles. Can some one please show how the word can be derived?

Wrong again. Triple prefix.

सु+सु+आ+गम्+क्त - सुस्वागतम्

स्वागतम् - itself means welcome as an idiomatic phrase, literally well come. 

It is added with one more adjective qualifier prefix, सुष्ठु - शोभनम्, आगतम् - that gives the meaning hearty welcome.

Now about the usage सुस्वागतम्. Can we conclude this in this way that since the usage is found in many places, the usage of सुस्वागतम्  is proper?
