Queen Madalasa's lullaby

There is a reference to this lullaby In Sw. Sivananda's article as below:

The queen Madalasa rocked the cradles of her infant princes and sang this lullaby: “You are all-pure, enlightened and immaculate. Give up this sleep of delusion which makes you give value to that which has no value, to endow it with a sense of reality through ignorance. This is a great blunder. This is the darkness of the slumber of non-awareness.”

According to the website http://stdin.tumblr.com/post/35496696969/thus-spoke-madalasa-i, the source of the verse is the Madalasa story in Markandeya Purana,  According to the website http://hinduonline.co/Scriptures/Puranas/MarkandeyaPurana.html this story starts from 1.4.4.  The story of Madalasa and the advice given by her to her son is available from printed page 81 onwards in the abridged Hindi translation of Markandeya Purana at the website https://archive.org/details/MarkandeyaPuranGitapress.  This translation cites a few of the oroginal Sanskrit verses but unfortunately the verse quoted above is not reproduced there.

I could not locate a Sanskrit text of the Purana despite efforts.

The verses in the att. file - Ch. 25 #10-19, and Ch. 26 #34-39  (part 2 in the collection), seem to be the 'lullabies'. Would this be a fair conclusion?   Thanks.

Thanks very much Sunder for sending these further links and attachments.  Most of the lullabies/songs seem to be modern, apart from the verses in the Markandeya Purana.  Does anyone know of any other references to lullabies in pre-modern Sanskrit literature?  I am interested because if there were lullabies in Sanskrit it could indicate that some children at least did learn Sanskrit as a mother tongue (perhaps one of several mother tongues).

In Brahmanda Purana (vide Alarka Charita (8th chapter) of dattAtrEya mahAtmya, there are 9 slokas. All 9 slokas are pregnant with vedanta rahasyas. Madalasa gives birth to 4 sons viz., vikrAnta, subAhu, shatrumardana, Alarka. 

Madalasa, with her lullabies, make her three sons (vikrAnta, subAhu, shatrumardana) viraktAs and make them tread the path of nivrutti mArga.  While she was about to sing lullaby for her 4th son Alarka, her husband admonishes her saying that if all their 4 children take to sanyasa, there would not be any one to choose grihastha dharma.  So, 4th son was imparted both jnAna mArga and karma mArga who later got initiated into yOga-rahasyAs from Dattatreya.

So, all the 4 sons were imparted vedanta jnAna with 4 types of lullabies.  However, i have only one which was imparted to 1st son ie., vikrAnta.

When time permits, post those 9 verses.

Arthur Macdonnell's 'A History of Sanskrit Literature' refers to a lullaby in the Veda, on p. 120 and 121.  I was not able to locate this lullaby of 4 stanzas in Rig- or Atharva Veda.

The refrain is said to be:  "ni shu shvapa".

The first three stanzas of this lullaby end with the refrain, " Fall fast asleep " (ni shu shvapa).
