Hi Vishvas,
Thank you for signing up for the Share Your Script campaign. We love your enthusiasm to help OCR models understand handwritten text in your language better - so products like Google Lens can help millions of people access information in your native language.
Here is how to contribute to the campaign -
Step 1: Take a piece of paper and pen/pencil. Write short sentences or make a list of 5 -10 things. You can also use already handwritten content in the languages you wish to contribute. Repeat in all languages you can contribute in (do not write in multiple languages in the same image).
Step 2: Open the Crowdsource app and go to the Image Capture task. Click on ‘Camera’ and take a picture of the written text (you can also choose to upload images from your gallery if you have already taken the picture).
Step 3: [IMPORTANT] Label the images. Depending on the language of your contribution, your labels will be -
▪ ocr
▪ <language on contribution>.
For example: If you have written text in Sanskrit, your labels are - ocr, sanskrit

▪ Open Source your images - Open Source your contributions to enable the whole developer and research community to advance the state of the art of technology. Go to Crowdsource settings > Open Source > Image capture and turn it on.
▪ Prioritize quality and privacy - As always, the quality of your contributions is very important. Please contribute images that are not blurred and have a significant amount of meaningful text. Make sure that no sensitive or personally identifiable information is captured in the images.
