Hello friends and comedy fans!!
Wish you all a slightly belated Happy New Year!! Hope you had a good 2011 and your 2012 is off to a good start.
2011 was a special year for me, apart from some good strides in the comedy world it was the start of my parenting world. Nyssa is almost 1 year old, so we are throwing her a surprise birthday party next week!
On the comedy front there were shows for A Retirement Home, Jewish High Tech Community, Hewlett Packard (again after 4 years), A Pizza Chain Regional Event, Festivals (Purim, Diwali), Possibly the last of Indian Comedy shows at Stanford, A Political Fundraiser, Funatical Comedy Tour at MuslimFest in Toronto and American Islam College in Chicago, Fundraiser for Documentary on Female Infanticide in India and for Wheelchair Foundation, a full weekend at Rooster T Feathers, UC Santa Cruz, A quick gig at an Occupy movement, 2 Radio interviews on NPR, talks to mixed background teenage Jewish kids, and launch of my newest show The Minorities Stand Up.
My weekly Comedy Off Broadway Oakland show made it to the list of "Best ways to laugh off 2011" on East Bay Express -
