Will the eBook be updated to minecraft version 1.8.2 because of all the changes in coding from 1.7.10?

Hi,

There will be an update. I've started working on a document for it quite a while ago already. Unfortunately, I'm much busier than when I wrote the book originally so it takes quite a while. Additionally, it's now 29 pages long and only covers how to update the first 8 or so chapters. I'll try to write more when I can.

Were any corrections ever posted? I realize that this thread is four years old, but this still seems the best book for beginners (especially kids) to learn modding.

My son was never able to get the Chapter 11 code working -- and I spent a couple of hours and it seems identical to what is in the book. But Minecraft crashes, when trying to place the plant block.

I found a download of the book examples, but they aren't compatible with the code in the book -- they seem to use different imported libraries.
