Thank you for your comments on the previous draft of the advocacy brochure/report.
The report will be released tomorrow to the press and circulated at advocacy meetings in Washington (thanks to PHR) and next week in Geneva during the WHA meetings. Attached please find the final version with map, photos, key quotes and text.
Please feel free to post this on your webpages, but it would be best to wait until tomorrow after it has been released and circulated to the press. For those of you interested in printing copies, I have a higher resolution file that I can send to you (but it’s a big file!).
We are in the process of translating the press release into French, Spanish and Arabic and I will circulate that tomorrow – please forward to your contacts!

Subject: upcoming report by Safeguarding Health in Conflict Coalition
Dear friends,
I am pleased to share the text of a brochure prepared by Human Rights Watch for the coalition, which we will issue in time for the World Health Assembly next month. The report reflects incidents of attacks on health workers, facilities, ambulances and patients over the past year or so, based on reports contained on our web site and email newsletter and other sources. As you can see, Human Rights Watch has agreed to joint branding with Safeguarding Health.
We are hopeful that the publication can raise awareness of the problem globally and complements the publications of ICRC, which has issued reports on the global scope of the problem but includes only aggregate data without naming countries where attacks take place.
There is still editing and design to do, as well as pictures to add, but I wanted to share the text sooner rather than later.
When it is ready we will share with everyone and ask for your help in distribution.
