THLOK, Cambodia -- When the first round of conflict between Cambodia and Thailand paused in July, Sok Krem, a 35-year-old captain who had been on duty at Ta Moan temple near the border, rushed back to his mother's home in Thlok commune in Takeo province to drop off his two children, a 9-year-old son and a 7-year-old daughter.
