December's ceasefire agreement has held, but there's little progress to end century-old dispute
CHANTHABURI, Thailand -- Gen. Ukrit Boontanon surveyed the 4.3-meter high wall fortified with concrete slabs able to withstand small-arms fire and topped with rolls of barbed wire. Thailand's supreme military commander then headed for a door at one end and shook it firmly. A hard tug rattled the three attached padlocks, affirming it was shut to prying eyes from Cambodia on the other side.
