I've been using Django for most of my projects prior to discovering Sammy.js, and I was wandering if I should switch to something lighter now?
Considering that most of my code will reside on the client, maybe Django is an overkill?

Also Django sucks up tens of megabytes of RAM on my shared host - which does not handle that very nice (kills my django process).

I can wholeheartedly recommend using TornadoWeb for backend services
and Sammy.JS for frontend. This combo is very lightweight and you will
be quite pleased.
