Using # in a popup to move around the popup

Hi

 

I'm currently porting an existing site.   (My knowledge of sammyjs is now about a day and a half)

 

This site has a dialog box which displays help.

 

The help page is long, so at the end of each section it as a

 

<a href="#top">Back to Top</a>

How can I either get Sammyjs to ignore this and get the popup to scroll to the top?

or

get Sammy to force the pop up to scroll to the top?

Also I don't want this in the page history, since if the user closes the pop up and uses the back button then #top is meaningless to the page.

I have googled this but can't seem to find anything.
