Good afternoon,

My name is Kalie, and I am Disaster Mental Health Coordinator for Georgia. I am currently looking for some guidance around utilizing college students to serve as part of the CCP. Curious if anyone has had success with this/ has tried in the past and what the outcomes were? Any information would be appreciated!

Thank you!

Hi Katie, in past CCPs, North Carolina had college students participate in the CCP. They were wonderful CCP team members. I am happy to talk with you further about success and how you are considering including them in your CCP efforts. Happy to talk further.
Be well

Colorado has also utilized college students in past CCP's.  We are fortunate that the University of Denver has a MA in International Disaster Psychology.  We routinely provide internships for these students and have incorporated them into CCP efforts as well with great success.
If you have any questions, ask away.
