The SAME San Diego Post invites you to the May 9th, 2012 Lunch presentation of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District.


11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. - Lunch Program


Please join us in May to welcome Colonel Toy, the District Commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Los Angeles District.

As Commander and District Engineer, Colonel Toy leads 844 military and civilian personnel operating in excess of $1 billion annually to execute a program of planning, engineering, construction, asset management, regulatory, emergency management, and environmental services for 3 Army and 8 Air Force installations, International and Interagency customers, and the nation's civil water resources infrastructure in the Southwest. Colonel Toy maintains strong personal liaison with senior national civil works and military leaders, 54 members of Congress, 170 Native American tribes, 4 states and numerous local governments.

Colonel Toy is from Huntington Beach, California. He graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Operations Research. He holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Boston University (1991), a Master of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of California at Los Angeles (1996), and a Master of Science Degree in National Resource Strategy from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces (2010). He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the states of Arizona and Virginia.

Colonel Toy's awards and decorations include: the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal (with 5 Oak Leaf Clusters), the Army Commendation Medal (with Oak Leaf Cluster), the Army Achievement Medal (with Oak Leaf Cluster), the National Defense Service Medal, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, the Iraqi Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon, the NATO Medal, the Combat Action Badge, and the Parachutist Badge. He is also a recipient of the Bronze Order of the de Fleury Medal.

. Cost for the lunch is $25 ($10 for Young Members, NCO & Junior Officers). All late registrations and walk-in attendees will be charged a $5 late fee.
