Hey friends its already a long way with my silvery honds activa. Finally that wonderful bike started giving me starting troubles. Most unfortunate disease for a heavy bike like activa. Some of my friends also complained about it.Any way its solved, try following procedure which i resolved after getting my activa serviced:

1.Being a four-stroke engine quintessential for activa starting up is to keep accelerator at untwisted position.(zero accelerator)

2.After making sure you have followed 1 press the start button(self).

3.Now understand that mechanism is fabricated in a way that your vehicle would start after you leave the brake. So press the brake for as small time as you can(full press). This would ensure no long selfs.Hence a happy battery.

you might need to press brake for two or three times in a cold morning with clutch. But you wont need to kick start at a market place because of your faulty starting methods.

Anyway i had my poston rings bushes changed before i found this mechanism.Cause earlier i was suspecting a compression failure in Engine.I also tried washing my carburetor with pertol.
But above method worked the best and solved all problems.Try this method and if u still get a starting problem with that mighty bike then get it serviced.

ohh i forgot to mention i also changed my key switch.Might be that could also have helped.

You are free to ask if you still face any problem.
