Charing and Len welcomes Irv Ackelsberg, public interest lawyer and former candidate for the 8^th District City Council seat, who has become a major Philadelphia's voice for consumer justice, combating predatory financial services, saving homes from foreclosure, challenging SEPTA fare hikes, advocating for community-college based adult education instead of rip-off trade schools and standing up for neighborhoods against negative development.  Recently, Ackelsberg made headlines for successfully fighting the proposed closure of 11 public libraries.
