Dear Friends of Samavesha:

The days are getting are shorter, and some of the Samavesha folks are preparing to set sail for far away lands. In honor of the astounding and magical cyclical nature of the Universe, we have decided to open up our lovely home once again for an afternoon of artistic offerings to the passage of time.

This winter solstice, join us in offering ART to the Sun as it stands still and invincible (Sol Invictus). Let's celebrate increasing daylight to come through music, art, dance, song, and all forms of expression of the Divine. May the next season be welcomed with inspiration, celebration and the warmth of being amongst friends and fellow beings.

The plan is the following:

3 - 4:30pm   Open mike for different expressions of art.
4:30 - 5pm        Intermission
5 - 6:30pm   Open mike with selected Samavesha artists.

This will be an early evening, so come out and celebrate with us early...

What this means for you:
If you are an artist, storyteller, comedian, musician, performer, poet, etc and want to participate in the open mike part of the evening, please arrive early to sign-up, or email us with details.

If you are a visual artist and would like to do something with the space or exhibit your work, email us your plans.

The latter part of the evening is going to be a musical offering to you from Samavesha artists. We will send out an email with the line-up for that part of the evening soon.

THIS IS A FREE EVENT. It is a party we are throwing for our friends and family and wanted to extend the invitation to all the Samavesha supporters out there. There will be no money exchanged. But there will be treats! If you care to bring something to eat and drink to share, you are very welcome to.
