Dear Friends of Samavesha:
This Saturday evening, at the delightful and meditative Yoga Mandala Studio in Berkeley, we are proud to host the following Hang Trio Concert. This marks the first in a series of Hang concerts that will take place this month. Please save the date for the Hang Gathering Concerts of June 26th/27th as well. We hope to see you at these shows as the magical sounds of the Hang sound sculpture unfold.
Hang Trio Concert
"The Hang is a melodious percussive steel musical instrument created in Switzerland.
The sound is incredibly rich with overtones.. mesmerizing and seductive."
By now, most have met this instrument in some way or another. Here, in this trio concert of local Hang talent, is the possibility to really experience the breadth of expression of this new instrument. Each of these talented artists brings their unique experience and history to the Hang and express through the Hang their own language and musicality. All together, we play as a homage to the Hang, its creators, and its evolution.
Join this Trio of players of this remarkable instrument for an exquisite and delicate musical evening.
