Greetings, Lovers of Song!

SHAKINI will offer a beautiful Chanting and Sound Healing Circle this month on SUNDAY, SEPT. 28 at the incredible home of the incredible Bob!  This Shakini event will be part of Green Music Network's Kickback Kirtan series - chanting gatherings in homes with a relaxed atmosphere.  Bob's house is in the Berkeley hills and has an amazing view of the bay and Golden Gate Bridge.  FYI - there are many steps on the way to the front door, but the view is worth it!

Please join us and bring your friends!

Please bring a FOOD OFFERING (prasad) to share after the singing.  Fruit, nuts and other snackables will be blessed by our songs during the circle.

SUNDAY, SEPT. 28
7:30-9:30pm
cost TBA (I haven't gotten the official word yet, but I'm sure it's the
same or close to what we usually do!)
Home of Bob (and his lovely housemates)
2692 Shasta Road
Berkeley, CA  94708

SHAKINI are a talented group of women singers and musicians who offer
participatory circles of sound healing, chant and vocal explorations
accompanied by unique instruments.  Come enjoy this immersion in the
world of healing sounds!

***PLEASE BE ON TIME IF AT ALL POSSIBLE.  It helps to create and hold the
container if a critical mass of us are there at the start.  If you're
only able to come if you come late, then most definitely come on along
anyway!***

Join us as we come together to CELEBRATE and EXPRESS GRATITUDE through
song! We will chant and explore vocal improvisation in
a supportive and joyous space.

You do not have to consider yourself to be "a singer" to participate!
Everyone is welcome to come and jump into vocal play.

Receive healing and clearing tones and vibrations from the didjeridoos,
voices, drums and drones!

Feel free to bring something to put on the altar during the circle.
Pictures of loved ones and/or yourself, natural objects or any special
treasures are some suggestions.

Please bring flowers and/or a food offering (prasad) for all to share to
the gathering. We will bless the food with our chanting and eat it
afterward. We are suggesting that you consider bringing foods other than
cookies or candy as prasad, such as nuts, fruit or other more grounding
morsels. But if you're called to bake chocolate chip cookies,
feel free to go with that urge!
