Back support to sustain quality education initiation started by
school, we have started "Strengthen stakeholders’ capacity to sustain
quality education initiation in Ganesh School" program for three
years.
The expected outcome of this program is as following:
• All girls aged 3-14 years are in school and are attending school
regularly (gender sensitive).
• All high school children have basic computer literacy skills.
• 100% of the students in grade one come through ECD.
• Continuous Assessment System (CAS) implemented in grade one to five
and result shared with parents.
• Supplementary Instruction (SI) and Student Support System (SSS)
program initiated in school for all age group.
• Endorsed ECD curriculum in school.
• 50% of the annual fund raised by community people.
The major activities planned are;
a) Promotion of quality education initiation
b) Community mobilization
c) Fund raising
d) Networking
a) Back support quality education initiation
- School improvement plan (SIP) development through School Self
Accreditation (SSA) process.
- Strengthen SMC, PTA and ECD management committee (school sector
reform plan, resource mobilization, social mapping, child friendly
school, social audit, early childhood development program)
- Impart skills and knowledge in child friendly teaching learning
process, teaching learning with dignity, EMIS, record keeping system
to teachers. Life skill training to teachers and students.
- Partnership and advocacy (partnership built with nationally
recognized academic institution / advocate quality education
initiatives carried by school through partnership in teacher
organizations, student organizations, political youth wing, local
political leaders / school visit and dissemination of reports through
media like e-pages, daily news paper, sikchha masik).
- Ensure continuous assessment system (CAS) from grade one to five.
Link supplementary instruction (SI) with CAS.
- Ensure child participation in school management through child clubs.
- Introduce school is the best place to ensure and practice child
rights (survival, protection, development and participation)
b) Community mobilization
- Capacitate youth and SMC/PTA and bring direct beneficiaries into the
front sit.
- Support and pressurize local bodies (VDC/DDC/DEO) to make
responsible and accountable for effective service delivery.
- Introduce young champion concept in school and in the community.
- Social mapping / data management.
- Capacitate ECD centers in Narayansthan and adjoining VDCs through
regular monthly meeting of facilitators, ECD in action program and
strengthening capacity of ECD management committees.
- Influence and create position in local politics (politics for
development).
c) Fund raising
- Honor the past donors and influence them to re-donate
- Develop fund raising plan
- Publish school calendar
d) Networking
- Strengthen partnership with teacher organizations / media / private
academic institutions
- Develop website / internet groups and regular updates of school
activities and progress
We are expecting to support NRs 1500000.00 (Fifteen lakhs ruppees) in
