to SA Magic Players
Hi All,

I would just like to say a very big thanks to all who made the 2010
Magic Nationals a great success. To every player that played in the
main event, helped someone play test, or borrowed cards, thanks for
your contribution.

To all the Judges that helped an especially big thank you. Without
you it would not be possible to do what has been done! Thanks for
your time that you spend so that others could have fun.

Thanks to Grant for working his butt off and just making everything
work.

Thanks to the Blowfish People for their support (Joris, Jelena, Bobo)
and the Sale. That was very very cool!

To all the Side Event players I just want to say: Thanks for
attending, I hope that you had fun!!

Last but not least the sponsors:

Luckshack: Over the weekend we held 8 EDH Tournaments. This was a
very good number! The most positive aspect is that we exposed more
than 50 players to the coolest way to play magic! More than half the
players have not played an EDH game before. We hope we have created a
new interest in this format. Every player that participated received
20 Rares from Luckshack. I am sure that a lot of those will see play
in an EDH deck, perhaps even at next year’s Nationals.

Africa Mall: Every player that played in a tournament that used any
other cards than standard got a R30 voucher form Africa Mall.com.
This was very cool to have some prizes to give away. Very nice prizes
were given out for the Vintage tournament.

Cardbox.co.za’s R2000 event drew 30 players for the Pauper Standard
only event. This was the biggest event we had over the weekend. The
format saw a lot of cool decks and the most female players in any side
event. (Although we did have three females in an EDH game at one
point). One of the females was also a winner. The winner of the
tournament was Lloyd Could from Durban, Second Place went to another
Durban player Christof Khun, third was Joan Greeff and forth was
Andrew Wright.

Outer Limits donated card boxes that were a big hit under players of
all ages and abilities! Thanks grant for those.

If you missed this Nationals make sure you get to the next one,
remember it is not just about the main event, but about the COOL
things happening at sides!!

Thanks to

Lastly thanks to every Judges that worked Sides. You guys where
awesome and truly I believe that the next level 3 might come from your
ranks!

Greetings

Francois
