Demo's and University League!

[Grant Charlton]

Hi Guys

We are starting an inter-varsity MtG League. The basic idea is
students at each participating University will run monthly events for
6 months or so, to determine the two best players on Campus. These two
players will then participate in a play off against their rival
Universities at a major function in JHB - Maybe ICON/Nationals/rAge?

Prizes for the events will be sponsored by Blowfish. We have a few
ideas for a really funky Grand Prize.....

We are starting the process by running Demo's and collecting names at
UCT (University of Cape Town) this Saturday!

Saturday the 12th at 15:00 till 18:00. in the Kramer building on UCT
middle campus in the lower lecture venues, that's 2A and 2B.

Phil will teach you to play and sign you up to the DCI!

This is also a recruitment Drive for members of CLAWS, the UCT Gaming
Club who are hosting the events. They are also involved in Role-
playing, Live Action Role-playing, War-gaming and Board Gaming etc.
Details of their Orientation Week activities will be available.I am
also asking our TO's and potential judges to pop past and say Hi! We
need to start expanding our Magic community in Cape Town. :)
