I spoke minutes ago with Phillip and Kelly. They reported they
presently have winds from the NNW (slightly aft of the port beam) at
18 knots with relatively short period seas of about 3 feet also from
slightly aft the port beam. They have a full set of sails out with no
reefs and are making a comfortable 8.5 knots or more. They are
presently 115 nm from port.

A bit of arithmetic indicates that they could arrive in port as early
as 6 AM in the morning if their conditions do not worsen, but they
said that their present expectation is to enter the breakwater between
7 AM and 10 AM at Pillar Point Harbor. The forecast for tonight is
for higher winds, which won't speed them up all that much, and for
larger waves, which will slow them down.

I plan to be on hand to take pictures and welcome them when they arrive.

I have a short list of people who have asked to be informed of the
exact time of arrival. The crew has agreed they will call me at least
two hours before arrival -- they should be within cell phone range by
then -- if you would like a call, please let me know.

Best regards,
Pat
